Leland LCC gets new floors
We need your helping hands! • Friday, August 19 • 6:00 PM
The Leland LCC will receive a flurry of work and improvements over the one-week break beginning the evening of August 19. New floors, appliances, kitchen counters and Fox & Manitou room dividers are among the planned installations.
Please join us this Friday, August 19 (from 6 pm until we are done) to move supplies and furniture to make way for the flooring project. We need all LCC friends and families to bring their muscles, appetites (we'll feed you) and any moving blankets or dollies that you may have. The following Friday, August 26, we will reconvene to move everything back. Email Molly Grosvenor to say you'll help or sign up by the clipboards.
Welcome
Leelanau Children's Center is the only preschool in Leelanau County accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children as well as by Family Support America. This means that we have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of self-study and been found to be in compliance with both organizations criteria for high quality early childhood programs. The Center has won two Michigan Governor's Awards for Quality and was selected as one of twenty-one exemplary programs in the United States by the Center for Social Policy in a project funded by the Doris Duke Foundation. The Center is much more than just a daycare or childcare center. We pride ourselves in offering high quality early childhood education.
Staff support and training are key to providing high quality early childhood education, and our staff is truly special. Staff participate in monthly inservice trainings and attend conferences and other professional development programs. The staff's caring style is immediately evident to even the most casual observer.
Our Mission:
CHILDREN MATTER. Because children matter, the Leelanau Children's Center provides high quality early childhood educational programs and advocates for children, parents and families.
The Leelanau Children's Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
